Bus map

[edit]

On my recent visit to Dujiangyan, I took a photo of the city bus map, which was posted on a sign, and uploaded it to imgur. As far as I know, no map is available elsewhere online, and I think it is quite useful for navigating between the various bus/train terminals and attractions. Is there a way we can make this map available to Wikivoyage users? Ar2332 (talk) 08:45, 25 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

I believe that allowing this link would be an exception to the external links#what not to link to policy. What do you think, everyone? Should an exception be made this time? Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:01, 25 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
Looks to me like there are currently no "no" votes. Should I add it? Ar2332 (talk) 12:19, 28 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
I think you can add it, which will make this guide more complete. ~2025-40939-35 (talk) 04:16, 16 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
I don't think so, as there is as yet no consensus. If you think this is important to discuss, please post a link and description of the discussion (which is a request for an exception to Wikivoyage:External links#What not to link to to allow an Imgur link to a photo of a city map that would be fair use and therefore could not be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons) at Wikivoyage:Requests for comment, probably under the "Other" subheading. Hello, I read your article and noticed that although it includes maps and coordinates, there are relatively few photos of restaurants and attractions. Adding more photos would enrich the article. JINJINYAN (talk) 13:43, 1 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Good. I took your advice and added some photos of restaurants and scenic spots. Chensiyu2004 (talk) 06:11, 28 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Repetition

[edit]

I have looked at this article only through part of "Get around" so far, and I've already deleted a fair amount of repetitive text. Anyone who would like to look through other sections and edit for brevity and readability would be doing a good service for travelers. Ikan Kekek (talk) 17:35, 1 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Ok, thank you for your contribution to Dujiangyan's article Chensiyu2004 (talk) 04:21, 16 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

About this article and its comprehensive introduction, it would be more practical if we could improve the transportation routes and scenic area content. 白诗棋 (talk) 06:22, 3 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your advice. At present, we have added some detailed traffic guidance. Chensiyu2004 (talk) 04:25, 16 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Your article about Dujiangyan is fantastic! It's beautifully written with pictures and text, and I especially appreciate the historical information you've included.

Here are some suggestions:

1. Add more travel details (attractions, activities, local cuisine).

2. Add practical information about accommodation.

3. Introduce the local culture or the best time to visit to help tourists better understand the area.

Overall, this article is a great start, but it needs more content geared towards tourists. Ttkx11 (talk) 05:59, 14 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your suggestion. At present, we have added many famous local attractions and many local snacks. Chensiyu2004 (talk) 04:22, 16 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Min River

[edit]

I know a Min River that runs through parts of Fujian & this article mentions one in Sichuan. Are there others?

Do we need to say anything about the name or the ambiguity? (I would guess no.) Pashley (talk) 11:42, 21 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for pointing that out! I’ve already removed the mention, so the ambiguity shouldn’t be an issue anymore. Chensiwen (talk) 16:02, 27 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
