The Valley Region is in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in the Southeast of Brazil. It is bordered by the Costa Verde and Grande Rio regions to the south, the Southern and Zona da Mata regions of Minas Gerais to the north, and the North Coast region of São Paulo to the west.
