Thanks for all your work on tagging duplicate files for deletion. I just wanted to clarify: should I delete photos that are tagged immediately, or is there a need to cross-check and ensure that the two files are indeed identical? And is there an issue with deleting the original copy as uploaded to Wikivoyage/Wikitravel, which Wikimedia Commons may reference as the source? If you can answer these questions and provide some directions as to what I should do, I'd be happy to regularly clear the speedy deletion candidates. JamesA ^>talk 08:25, 12 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

You can delete all the files in Category:Speedy deletion candidates now. I checked them all and any usefull info has been copied to Commons.

The files in Category:Files with the same name on Wikimedia Commons can probably also be deleted but they should be checked first. --MGA73 (talk) 08:36, 12 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

A recent change now means that all IP addresses are no longer visible to most ordinary users. However, as per WMF policy, any user who has made at least 300 edits with an account older than 6 months may request the temporary account IP viewer (TAIV) permission to view IP addresses of all temporary accounts for up to 90 days. You are receiving this mass message because your account is autopatrolled, or has patroller and/or template editor permissions, and have over 300 edits, and thus are likely eligible to request this permission.

Guidelines surrounding the use of the tool can be found at Wikivoyage:Temporary account IP viewer; if granted, you must also accept the WMF policy in your preferences.

TAIV permissions can be requested at Wikivoyage:Temporary account IP viewer/Requests, or on any admin's talk page.
