Do we need a separate article? / Merger
[edit]Digmoor looks to be really close to Skelmersdale. And it looks like it is considered to be a neighbourhood of Skelmersdale, rather than a separate town. In fact, the only listing for this article, Michelle's Cakes, is already in the Skelmersdale article. Wouldn't it be more convenient for travellers to have all of the information in one place rather than in two articles? I propose to merge this article to Skelmersdale. - Support per nomination. This seems like just a neighborhood. --Comment by Selfie City (talk) (contributions) 13:53, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
- Instead of deleting it shall I turn it into a redirect? Maroontruths (talk) 15:01, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
- That is how a merger works. Digmoor would be redirected to Skelmesdale. Ground Zero (talk) 15:09, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
- I agree but some travellers may only be interested In diggy Maroontruths (talk) 15:10, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
- In all seriousness (not sarcastically), they could be interested in only one block of it, too, or even a single house. That doesn't mean it should get its own Wikivoyage article. Please read (or reread) Wikivoyage:What is an article. This site is meant to be a useful, practical travel guide and has very different criteria for what gets its own article than its encyclopedic sister site, Wikipedia.
