Banner image in park or city?
[edit]I found some images of Akishima on Commons that might make for good banner images. I have have two "sets" of images that may work; one set is from Showa Commemorative National Park, these images are very pretty, however the park is a little outside of Akishima and maybe doesn't represent the city all that well. The second set is from the city itself, they're less pretty but maybe represent the city better. I think I need to pick between the park or the city in order to narrow down the selection, afterwards I will pick one image from the set to be the final banner.
Here are 3 banner candidates from each set (with temporary names I have chosen for simplicity):

- I've actually just added Showa Park to the article. Half of the park is technically within the city boundaries, it's just right on the edge. AskMeAboutGalway! :) (talk) 20:05, 11 December 2025 (UTC)

- I decided to make a banner from this image and add it to the page. It's a bit abstract, but I think it looks nice enough. Only problems are that it doesn't show any monuments specific to Akishima, and also it's technically right outside of the Akishima boundaries, in the Tachikawa section of the park. Feel free to make any adjustments to make it look better, or to switch it out for a more suitable banner if you wish. AskMeAboutGalway! :) (talk) 12:40, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
