Laid-Back Camp (ゆるキャン△, ゆるきゃん) is a Japanese manga written by Afro who lives in Hamamatsu and Kofu with anime adaption. The manga focuses on camping, set in the area around Japan Alps, including Yamanashi, Nagano, Shizuoka, etc. There are many stores and transportation facilities based on real-life in the manga, making it useful when travelling.

Laid-Back Camp was released in 2015 and adapted into anime in 2018. The protagonist is Rin Shima, who lives in Yamanashi and enjoys camping. The story starts when she meets Nadeshiko Kagamihara, who has just moved to Yamanashi on her first day and is interested in Shima's camping activity. It quickly gained attention when its anime adaptation was released in 2018 for its comfy pace and calming environment. Minobu, the manga's main setting, has therefore become a popular spot, and many people in Japan are interested in camping.

Mountains in Japan are very cold at night. In Episode 6 of Season 2, Yamanakako was shown as −2 °C in the afternoon, but it can be colder in real life: records there have dropped below −8 °C. Be especially careful when camping in winter. In mountainous areas, temperatures can change significantly with even slight differences in elevation, and local climate conditions can vary. Also, notice that the boiling point is lower at higher altitudes. Morning dew might also be a concern when camping.
