In Kanipakam the great lord Ganapathy Temple is situated. The place is very important for all Hindus. The town has become more popular since the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam(TTD) board has taken over the place. Most of the pilgrims visiting Tirupathi visit the temple.

From Tirupathi the place is around 2 hours journey by bus. There are APSRTC buses every few minutes shuttling between Tirupathi and Kanipakam.

• Kanipakam is a small village, and the temple area can be easily explored on foot. Most of the important spots including the main temple, prasadam counters, theertham tank, and shops are within walking distance. Auto-rickshaws are available for short rides or to visit nearby places.
• Parking facilities are available for private vehicles, and there are resting places for pilgrims within the temple premises.

• 13.277179.03391 Sri Varasidhi Vinayaka Swamy Temple (Ganapathy Temple). is open in the regular hours. But it is best to visit in the morning hours from morning 6AM to 11AM. There is usually a very big crowd. So be ready to stand in line for an hour or so. Wednesdays are a bit more crowded..

• Varadaraja Swamy Temple: popular for performing Satyanarayana Vratam to invoke blessings for marital harmony.
• Kaigal (Dumukurallu) Waterfalls: a scenic, perennial waterfall ~2.5 km from Kanipakam—perfect for nature lovers, especially during and after the monsoon
• Kaundinya Wildlife Sanctuary: slightly farther afield, a great option if you want a wildlife trek or day‑out amid biodiversity

• Religious souvenirs: Small idols of Lord Ganesha, framed pictures, and laminated posters of Kanipakam deity are widely available near the temple entrance.
• Prasadam: The temple sells delicious laddus and pulihora (tamarind rice) as prasadam. These are hygienically packed and make thoughtful gifts for family and friends.
• Rudraksha malas and pooja items: You can buy prayer beads, sandalwood items, kumkum, camphor, and other puja essentials from stalls around the temple.
• Handmade toys and trinkets: Local vendors also sell small wooden toys, clay figurines, and bangles, especially during festivals.
• Ayurvedic products: Occasionally, you may find herbal oils, balms, and locally made Ayurvedic items during seasonal fairs.
