[edit]Huainan Beef Soup (淮南牛肉汤), Found in many local breakfast shops throughout Huainan. 06:30–10:30. A signature dish of Huainan made from slow-cooked beef bones, giving the broth a milky white color and deep flavor. Commonly served with fried dough sticks or pancakes. Around ¥15 per bowl.
Huainan Steamed Dishes (淮南蒸菜), Available in local family restaurants. 11:00–21:00. Various meats, tofu, and vegetables are steamed together in bamboo baskets, preserving their natural taste and nutrition. A light and healthy local favorite. ¥25–40 per person.
Huainan Roast Chicken (淮南烧鸡), Wenfeng Street, Tianjia’an District. 10:00–22:00. A famous traditional delicacy with crispy skin and tender meat, marinated in secret spices. Often sold as a whole chicken for take-away. Around ¥50 each.
Huainan Tofu Skin (淮南豆腐皮), Available in night markets and snack streets such as People’s Road. 17:00–23:00. Soft and chewy tofu skin made from soybeans, usually mixed with chili oil, vinegar, and garlic for a refreshing street snack. ¥8–12 per portion.
Huainan Fried Rice Noodles (淮南炒米粉), Local eateries near Shungeng Road and Xinjian Avenue. 11:00–21:00. Rice noodles stir-fried with vegetables, pork, and spicy sauce, giving a rich aroma and chewy texture. Around ¥20.
