- There is a hill series in the east side of the city, which looks like a lady laying down when watched from a place called Nallampalli. The sunrise from behind this hill is the most beautiful moment in every morning.

- Theerthamalai, it is an ancient temple located near the town of harur. Lord Ram had done a pooja to the lord theerthagiriswarar(lord Siva).
- Temple teertham(holy spring water) history::::: once upon a time, lord Ram visited the temple,and climbed the mountain there he prayed lord Shiva,but there was no water ,so he ordered Hanuman to go the river Ganga to bring the holy water . It was the time to sunset, ram thought that Hanuman will come late, so ram took his bow and pointed an arrow in the hill from there came the holy water, which is now called as ramar theertham. Next Hanuman came there with Ganga water but seeing Rama's action Hanuman got angry and threw the kamandalam (pot) into the near river called thenpennai ,that place is called as Hanumantheertham ,which now became a famous town near harur.
- There are also many theerthams in the theerthamalai hill . Famous ones are ramar teertham,gowri teertham,kumara theertham ,agni teertham
- NB: Theerthamalai has many monkeys so the pilgrims are advised to keep their property safe. You want to climb the hill to go the temple. Bus facilities are available from harur and dharmapuri
