March-November 9AM-5PM. Since 1875, this lighthouse has kept mariners from danger, night and day. The Keepers’ Dwelling has housed more than two dozen families, as their duties of “Lighthouse Keeper” were carried out. $12.

[edit]Corolla is the northernmost point on the Outer Banks that is reachable by paved roads. If you have all-wheel drive on your vehicle, or don't mind a long hike on the beach, you can go even further north to the town of Carova.
