Côtes-d'Armor is a department in Brittany. It offers a rich abundance of coastal resorts and fishing ports. The interior is largely agricultural and dotted with small villages.
Cities
[edit]- 1 Dinan — a medieval town popular with tourists because of its picturesque timber houses, ramparts and stone walls
- 2 Lamballe — it has a beautiful Gothic church (13th and 14th centuries)
- 3 Paimpol — a renowned fishing port with a beach, whose harbour front and town centre are made up of pretty little houses
- 4 Saint-Brieuc — popular for its summer music festivals

[edit]- 1 Bréhat — it has stunning natural landscapes, historic sites, and no motorized traffic
- 2 Les Sept Îles — a group of islands that is home to an important bird reserve, and a reserve for grey seals
- 3 Lac de Guerlédan – an artificial lake created by EDF (an electricity utility), a scenic highlight of interior Brittany
- 4 Trégor – one of the nicest provinces of Brittany, with the following towns:
- 5 Lannion – has a cute centre
- 6 Pleumeur-Bodou – famous for its space and telecommunications museum and bronze-age gallery graves.

[edit]The two main airports in the department are Saint-Brieuc-Armor Airport (LFRT) and Lannion–Côte de Granit Airport (LAI), which are primarily for domestic and private flights. The closest major international airports are Brest Bretagne Airport (BES) and Rennes Airport (RNS), outside the department.
