Birtamod is a small but bustling town in Jhapa District, Eastern Tarai, Nepal. It lies on the east–west highway and serves as a commercial hub and convenient stop for travelers exploring eastern Nepal.

Birtamod is known for its markets, restaurants, and cultural diversity. It also serves as a gateway to nearby towns and attractions, including Damak, Bhadrapur, and Kakarbhitta (on the Indo-Nepal border).

• Bus - Regular buses connect Birtamod with Kakarbhitta, Damak, Bhadrapur, and other towns in Jhapa District.
• Taxis - Taxis are available from nearby cities or from Chandragadhi Airport, about 25–50 minutes away.
