Alimosho is a local government area in Lagos City, South West Nigeria. It is the largest local government in Lagos in terms of population. This article includes Idimu, a suburb of Alimosho that is east of Isheri Olofin and south of Oduwole, and Ikotun.

[edit]Alimosho is a multi-lingual area of Lagos. It is dominated by people of several ethnic groups: Yorubas, Igbo, and the Hausas. Most of the people who live in Isolo speak English language at least on an average level. Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa are also spoken by people of the respective ethnic groups.

[edit]Alimosho, which is 7.16 meters (23.49 feet) above sea level, has a savanna or tropical wet and dry climate (Classification: Aw). The district's annual temperature is -0.29% below Nigeria's average, at 29.17ºC (84.51ºF). Alimosho generally experiences 196.98 wet days (53.97% of the time) and 134.29 millimeters (5.29 inches) of precipitation every year.
